Similar to the great angle with Austin on the crucifix, Undertaker had Stephanie McMahon attached to the symbol in April 1999. But this time it wouldn't be a symbolic crucifying, instead the deadman planned on marrying her! Steph was on the symbol in the middle of Raw's ring, in an altar like scene. Taker had kidnapped her the night before (at Backlash), and viewers had tuned in to Raw with eagerness to see what happened next. The scene was everything you'd imagine from a lord of darkness, with the implication that he intended to marry Stephanie and then take her virginity. In true satanic tradition, the indication was he'd then sacrifice her. Thankfully, good old Stone Cold Steve Austin turned up to save the day. He set Stephanie free, and then looked hilariously uncomfortable as she embraced him in a hug.
