6. Switches Between Reality And Kayfabe

It seems fairly obvious that Mark Calaway is protective of The Undertaker gimmick, and has been for years. So eager to maintain the natural mystique which accompanies his bread and butter, Calaway has often been known to appear pretty much in character during media and fan-related appearances for WWE. Far from being a bad thing, this has been one reason for The Undertaker's longevity. By directly embracing what fans want to take away from meeting him, Calaway has forged an incredible relationship with people, young and old. 'Undertaker: 25 Years Of Destruction' will likely be a book which deals with Undertaker in a kayfabe manner, but there should be some elements of reality slotted in there too. The book will need to be careful about just how often it switches from the realm of reality to fantasy, but 'Taker is such a unique character in that respect - even though the man still plays the gimmick in a supernatural fashion, he's been around so long that people just accept him as who he is, rather than having to be repeatedly reminded of what his intentions are. The new book should embrace this, and there should be some reality in amongst all that kayfabe and wonder.
