These Wrestlers Just Had Their WORST Match Ever!
6. Roman Reigns (Vs. Jey Uso) - WWE SummerSlam 2023
At a glance, given the fact this lacklustre summer performance went down in August, it may seem a little odd to class Roman Reigns' Tribal Combat fight with his cousin as a "recent" disappointment.
But with 'The Tribal Chief' only wrestling two more matches (including his scheduled four-way bout at this year's Royal Rumble) since that main event misfire, it definitely counts as one of his most recent displays.
And oh boy, was it a Tribal stinker.
In a 'Head of the Table' run that has seen Reigns finally level up to become a consistently captivating megastar and big match player, his SummerSlam war with Jey Uso easily ranks as the worst defence of the entire 1,200+ day reign.
Dragged out melodrama, laughing off the no-interference stip, and the addition of a distracting/underwhelming Jimmy Uso turn, Tribal Combat had the potential to be a gripping spectacle and a hugely emotional end to this chapter in the Bloodline Saga, but instead just became the flabbiest, most predictable slog of Roman's run.
And a boring showdown that proved to be the first big miss in one of the greatest long term storylines in WWE history.
