Just days after their very public last statement concerning AJ Styles, TNA Impact Wrestling have congratulated new WWE star on his Royal Rumble debut, tweeting "Congrats to TNA Original @AJStylesOrg on his debut tonight. Wish him all the best." The message is a very different tone to the statement they released on Friday, in which they implied that Styles would be in breach of a TNA deal if he joined WWE. Clearly, there was no legal basis to that claim, and it sounds like TNA are now resigned to moving on from the subject. By congratulating Styles, they will be hoping to ease the bad blood generated by Friday's statement. They looked petty and malicious in their intent, as if they were trying to sabotage Styles' WWE move. After all he did for them, AJ had to be hurt by the timing and wording of TNA's claims. Despite TNA's possible attempt at sabotage, WWE still went ahead and debuted Styles, giving him twenty seven minutes from the number three position in Sunday's Royal Rumble. With a smart crowd in attendance, he received a fantastic response, with several "AJ Styles" chants. As for his performance, he was very good - particularly in his selling - until he was eventually eliminated by Kevin Owens. However, despite the initial success, things may not always be this good for Styles in WWE. There's a range of problems he will have to overcome, and you can read more on those issues here.
