Gut Check Results

http://youtu.be/s2DSqNK7gH8 I'm surprised that there are any Gut Check judges left following the departure of Ric Flair and the turncoat actions of Tazz and D'Lo Brown, but now it is time to find out if either Ivelisse Velez or Lei'd Tapa (or possibly both) will receive a TNA contract in these extremely dragged out segments. Luckily they seem to have cut out the segments in the ring, and have decided to end the tense voting segments that are better served on the X Factor. The decision of the judges was to keep hold of Lei'd Tapa, which drew quite a negative response from the crowd. This maybe due to the fact that Tapa played the heel in their warm-up match, but it was probably because Velez was the much better and more exciting wrestler. Clearly TNA chose the potential gimmick and greater presence than pure talent in this instance, and whether Tapa can prove the selection correct in the future will be of keen interest in upcoming months.

6-Person Tag Team Action

http://youtu.be/Jjeq-4ocIec When the action returns to the ring, we are preparing for a six-person tag team match, as Knockouts' Champion Velvet Sky teams with Chavo Guerrero and Hernandez against her Number One Contender Gail Kim and Bad Influence (Christopher Daniels and Kazarian). The action commences with the powerhouse Hernandez against Kazarian, and Super-Mex is quick to assert his dominance on his opponent, before a rake to the eyes allows Kazarian take charge and a tag hands the advantage to the ever-so arrogant Daniels. However, the attempt to powerslam the bigger superstar proves to be futile, as Hernandez stands his ground and connects with his own slam to the Fallen Angel. This leads to some quick tags and teamwork from Guerrero and Hernandez, the latter with another impressive show of strength with a bearhug into an overhead toss. An attempted delayed vertical suplex brings Kazarian into the ring, but the two-on-one assault leaves Hernandez standing following a double clothesline to both members of Bad Infuence. This leads to some teamwork from the other side of the ring, as Guerrero drops a senton on Daniels whilst he is laying on the knees of Hernandez. But Guerrero's charge was soon cut off, first by a trip from Kim on the outside, and then a clothesline from the ring apron by the illegal Kazarian. Now we get to see some basics of heel tag teaming from the alliance of Bad Influence and Kim, who pull every trick in the book to keep Guerrero down and away from his own corner. But as soon as Guerrero is able to turn the tables on Daniels, it is time for the Knockouts to get in on the action, as the champion Sky is able to get a few shots in on her future challenger Kim. Following a spear on Kim, Sky's pinfall attempt is broken up by Daniels, who held up the Knockout before he was knocked out of his boots by a tackle from Hernandez. Then all tags were off, as a battling Kazarian and Guerrero on the outside were first knocked down by Daniels and then the flying Super-Mex, which left the Knockouts alone in the ring. But it is not long before Kim is able to connect with Eat De-Feet, and she is able to pin the Knockouts' Champion before their match at Lockdown. A sign of things to come? WINNERS: Gail Kim and Bad Influence
