TNA's 10 Craziest Matches

2. Hardy vs. Hardy - Final Deletion

The Room and Troll 2 would have serious competition for "Best So Awful It's Actually Amazing" film, if the Hardy Boyz TNA feud had been packaged as a feature.

When the most recent battle between the brothers started, it was actually a pretty solid, reality based angle. By the end of it, we had a holographic Matt Hardy shooting out an army of mini-drones or “aerial assault robots” into his brothers mansion, who then chased them away on his dirt bike. I watched it multiple times, and I’m still not convinced this actually aired on TV.

The afternoon of the showdown, after Matt's plan to kill his brother with miniature helicopters failed, he drove a lawnmower over to Jeff's house, and then destroyed some of his intricately lawn-sculpted grass. A TNA referee then arrived at the location to call the insane action about to begin. Action that will likely scar him for the rest of his life after seeing it in person.

The fight started in the ring, and Jeff did a ridiculously high, and hilarious, Swanton on his brother from a tree. The action spilled to the outside, and things somehow proceeded to get more nuts. Fireworks were involved, Matt hid behind a boat, Willow popped out of a lake, and was then revealed to be Matt’s gardner.

The end saw Matt beaten into a large grave, and Jeff about to deliver another Swanton from the top of his own symbol...which was somehow at Matt's house? Anyway, Reby helped her husband create a fire that tripped up Jeff, where he fell into the grave too, and was pinned.

Never before has a major, worldwide wrestling company aired a match that has even delivered a pre-determined match 20% as crazy as Final Deletion was. It must be seen to believe. Time for a third viewing.

As Rust Cohle from True Detective said "Life's barely long enough to get good at one thing. So be careful what you're good at." Sadly, I can't solve a murder like Rust...or change a tire, or even tie a tie. But I do know all the lyrics to Hulk Hogan's "Real American" theme song and can easily name every Natural Born Thriller from the dying days of WCW. I was once ranked 21st in the United States in Tetris...on the Playstation 3 version...for about a week. Follow along @AndrewSoucek and check out my podcast at wrestlingwithfriends.com
