Tony Khan Addresses Jack Perry's AEW Absence

Jack Perry hasn't wrestled for AEW since All In last August.

With reports earlier this week that Tony Khan was "really mad" at Jack Perry for essentially costing him CM Punk, the AEW President has now addressed Perry's ongoing AEW absence.

Of course, the former Jungle Boy and Punk got into a backstage altercation at AEW All In back in August, and Perry has not been seen on AEW programming since. However, he has resurfaced in New Japan Pro-Wrestling, using the Scapegoat nickname and becoming a part of House of Torture.

During a recent interview with ComicBook.com, Khan was asked about Jack Perry, his AEW absence, his work in NJPW, and whether Jack could bring his current persona to AEW TV.

As Kahn put it:

"I think you've got to stay tuned. Absolutely, Jack is doing great things in New Japan. The New Japan Cup, he's had a great run. He's established himself over there, he feels he's the Scapegoat, but he's doing great things and he's wrestling for a great promotion, and it's been great tracking Jack's progress in New Japan, and I think he's done excellent work there."

While no exact date has been set as of yet - bar taking place at some point in June - one has to imagine that this year's Forbidden Door, from New York City's Arthur Ashe Stadium, could be a logical way to introduce Jack Perry back into the AEW fold. That's merely speculation on your writer's part, though.
