As per Cassidy Haynes of BodySlam.net, Tony Khan and AEW's EVPs flew out to Chicago in Khan's private jet this past Sunday.

Of course, AEW is set for three huge Chicago shows in September, with the promotion hitting the NOW Arena for the 1 September Dynamite, the 3 September Rampage and then for the hotly-anticipated All Out PPV on 5 September.

BodySlam reports that AEW is planning to hit the Chicago area hard and make the Windy City the company's second-biggest market. And yes, AEW "100% wants CM Punk to be in Chicago" - it's said to be a matter of 'when' not 'if' the Straight-Edge Superstar appears in his hometown.

Haynes adds how his AEW sources informed him that the promotion is looking at the Chicago's United Center as a potential venue for when they return to the city; a return that is expected to happen before 2021 is out.

As for the reason for Tony Khan and his EVPs - presumably Kenny Omega, Cody Rhodes and the Young Bucks - took a private flight to Chicago, all sources are remaining tight-lipped on what exactly went down during this brief trip; though there are rumblings that some promo material may have been filmed at the aforementioned United Center..
