Speaking on WFAN's Moose & Maggie Show, AEW President Tony Khan was asked directly about whether the company has had any talks with Windham Rotunda, aka Bray Wyatt.

In what might come as a surprise to some, Khan revealed that he has had zero talks with the three-time WWE World Champion about becoming #AllEilte.

As picked up on by PWInsider, Tony stated:

"He's a great wrestler, and I have to be honest, we haven't talked at all. I've known him in personal life, but in reality, we haven't talked. But you never know."

There have previously been countless rumours that Rotunda has had talks with both AEW and IMPACT Wrestling, although you can seemingly discount those AEW rumours if Tony Khan is to be believed.

Of course, Khan had been extremely coy in recent months when he was asked about CM Punk or Bryan Danielson joining AEW. Both of those signings would eventually happen. Whether Windham Rotunda is another who will find himself in AEW, that remains to be seen.

Rotunda, as Bray Wyatt, was released by WWE on Saturday 31 July due to budget cuts. The standard WWE 90-day non-compete clause would make him a free agent on Friday 29 October, but there have been previous stories that WWE is open to negotiating an earlier end to such non-compete clauses if talents are looking to wrestle elsewhere sooner than 90 days.

Many had speculated that, providing he'd been able to come to an agreement on said non-compete clause, that the former Eater of Worlds could appear for AEW on the 29 September episode of Dynamite that emanated from the Rochester hometown of Mr. Brodie Lee. Obviously, that didn't happen.
