Top 20 Draft Picks For WWE's Brand Split 2016
15. SmackDown - WWE Women's Champion Charlotte
Shane may have pulled off a coup by snatching up the WWE Tag Team Champions, but Stephanie will respond by selecting the centerpiece of the ever-improving Women's Division, Charlotte. The champion will be coming up on a year as the division's titleholder by July, and she'll be proud of the fact that her achievements have garnered her such a high pick.
Back during the initial brand extension, the WWE Women's Champion was initially allowed to go on either show, but within a few months, the rules were amended and Raw became the title's sole home (as a counterpart, Smackdown got the Cruiserweight Championship). There was still women's action on Smackdown, but there wasn't any ultimate goal for the competitors.
Finally, WWE decided to introduce the Divas' Title in 2008, giving the women of Smackdown a prize of their own. The belts were unified under the "Divas'" branding in 2010. Now that there's one title and it's not a stupid butterfly, there's no reason to start devaluing it again. The champion can go back and forth between brands, and Charlotte can be treated as a major pick in the draft.
