Top 20 Draft Picks For WWE's Brand Split 2016
16. Raw - WWE Tag Team Champions The New Day
Shane McMahon will be the first General Manager to draft more than one superstar at a time when he uses his third selection to pick WWE Tag Team Champions The New Day. Like with Reigns, The New Day will still be able to appear on Smackdown for as long as they hold the titles (and subsequent Tag Team Champions will also jump between shows), but they'll be Raw-exclusive after their reign ends.
Over the past year, The New Day has been the most consistently-entertaining part of WWE TV. No matter where on the card they've been positioned, the reactions they get and their merchandise sales have proven that they're true main eventers, every bit as much as Reigns, Cena, and anyone else who gets more high-profile matches.
As strong as Smackdown needs to be in order to set it apart as a real rival for Raw, the Monday show will always be the company's flagship - that's why Reigns should be a part of Raw, and that's why The New Day should also be a part of the red brand. Plus, those three-hour shows don't seem to drag on so badly when Kofi Kingston, Big E, and Xavier Woods are on.
