Top 20 Draft Picks For WWE's Brand Split 2016
14. Raw - Dean Ambrose
With Shane McMahon's fourth pick, he'll complete his run-through of the three former members of The Shield by drafting Dean Ambrose to Raw. An angry Seth Rollins will be the first man on the scene, arguing with Shane to try and get him to change his mind, but there'll be nothing doing - "The Lunatic Fringe" (and the current Mr. Money in the Bank) will be a member of the Raw roster.
It can be argued that Dean Ambrose would be better served on Smackdown - after all, despite his talent and his popularity, he's been consistently overshadowed by his former Shield partners since the group's break-up. He's been repeatedly beaten by Rollins and consistently portrayed as weaker than best friend Roman Reigns. Away from the two of them, Ambrose could finally break out on his own.
Despite that, the idea of all three Shield members being on the same brand - able to team and feud at will - is too good to pass up. The Shield was such a well-booked group that Ambrose, Rollins, and Reigns will be inextricably linked for the entirety of their careers. Plus, having Ambrose with the Money in the Bank briefcase while Reigns and Rollins feud over the title creates quite an interesting situation.
