Despite being the heavy fan favourite, LA Knight came up short at WWE Money in the Bank.

With Damian Priest winning the titular men's match at last night's Money in the Bank PLE, many fans were left frustrated that WWE didn't opt to go with LA Knight as the winner of this bout. And following MITB, that's a topic that was addressed by Paul Levesque.

Speaking during the post-Money in the Bank press conference, Triple H made mention of LA Knight and hinted that big things are in the future of the Megastar.

As the Game put it:

"I know LA Knight was a massive favourite coming in tonight, continuing that ascent. Great things come to those who wait, right? And I think that rise is just getting started."

With Money in the Bank now done and dusted, what could be lined up on the horizon for LA Knight?

Seeing as LA's a SmackDown star, that brand's top prize seems off limits right now, with Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns embroiled in the ever-unfolding Bloodline saga. This is purely speculation from your writer, but it could well be that LA Knight ends up being the one to bring an end to Austin Theory's second reign as WWE United States Champion...

Did WWE miss a major moment with LA Knight at Money in the Bank? To quote the man himself, YEAH. Is LA Knight dead in the water as a result of not winning the MITB briefcase? Absolutely not.
