Triple H Reveals When He Last Spoke To CM Punk About WWE
When did CM Punk and Triple H last sit down to talk about WWE? Here's when.
Triple H has revealed the last time he and CM Punk sat down for a chinwag about WWE.
Trips appeared on the 'Pardon My Take' podcast, and said he spoke to Punk "a year and a half/a year and three quarters ago". 'The Game' refused to be drawn on exactly what was said between both men, but did add that any WWE comeback is firmly in Punk's hands.
"If he wants to do it, we would get word and have those conversations or he would make a call", he said.
Fair point well made.
Hunter was responding to those fans online who think WWE should pursue Punk before AEW (or another promotion) coax him back into the ring. Triple H pointed out that there "has to be a desire there" on Punk's side - neither he nor anyone else in WWE can force the ex-World Champ to do business.
Triple H's convo claim would fall in line with Punk's appearances on WWE Backstage. He returned to the mix, via FOX, for the talking head recap show in late-2019. It seems that's the last time Punk and Hunter chatted about anything to do with WWE life.
