Kamaru Usman has been on an absolute tear since he joined the UFC back in 2015. The 'Nigerian Nightmare' has racked up impressive victories against the likes of Demian Maia, Rafael Dos Anjos and Leon Edwards - all top 10 welterweights in the UFC. He's managed to use the threat of his striking to set-up his wrestling and once he gets a hold of an opponent they're usually completely nullified.

As impressive as that is, he seems to lack the finishing ability to end a fight.and that's the difference between him and current champion, Tyron Woodley. Yes, they have similar styles as both mix up their boxing and wrestling to keep their opponents on their toes, but only one of them has the power to really punish an opponent with their striking and that's 'The Chosen One'.

Both are very good wrestlers, so should cancel each other out in that area so this fight should stay standing for most of the 25 minutes they're in the Octagon. There's very little evidence to show that Usman can land the sort of punch that could flatten Woodley, but there's plenty of proof that Woodley can decimate Usman with punches or at least make him fear his striking enough that he's not willing to engage.

Prediction: Tyron Woodley via unanimous decision
