UFC 235 Predictions

It's been a long time coming and most never though it would happen due to the fact that he and UFC President Dana White didn't quite see eye to eye. However, former Bellator and One welterweight champion Ben Askren is finally going to compete in the UFC and, most importantly, the toughest opponents he's ever faced.

Askren has one main objective in every fight; get his opponent to the ground and successfully control them until they can't do anything. So far in his stellar career, he's managed to do that to everyone he's fought and usually quite easily.

The problem here is that Robbie Lawler has fantastic takedown defence and enough power in his hands to shut off Askren's brain in an instant. 'Ruthless' has had an exceptional career by doing just that to his opponents, so Askren will have to look out for whatever is thrown at him.

Although Lawler's striking is definitely nothing to dismiss, Askren's wrestling is simply on another level and when it comes to defending against it, resistance truly is futile.
