The Undertaker: 7 Candidates For His Retirement Match

1. John Cena

The one match that Undertaker should have at WrestleMania is against John Cena because it's the one that would make the most money for him and for the company. If they built up as his retirement then it would be a huge draw simply because Undertaker is a guy that so many of us have watched over the last 24 years. For him to go against the man perceived to be "the best" in WWE would be a fitting way to go out. It would smart if they advertised it as his retirement match also because that way there would be some doubt about whether who would win. Since The Streak is over, Undertaker could go into it as the underdog that is past his prime. Every time he hit a signature spot, though, the crowd would go wild because in our heads we would think that's the last time he'll do that, so we better cheer as loud as we can. A match against Cena would be a battle of two of the biggest babyfaces ever and something that hasn't happened at WrestleMania. Their feud over a decade ago isn't something that a lot of fans are going to remember, so it would be fresh to see this matchup on the grandest stage of them all. Most wrestlers lose retirement matches. We saw that with Ric Flair and Shawn Michaels. We might see that with Undertaker too. He has that old school mentality in that he might want to put somebody over on the way out assuming he has another match left in him. Cena vs. Undertaker at next year's WrestleMania seems like a strong possibility if the Deadman is willing and able to have one more match.
