The Undertaker's 10 Best Matches (Not At WrestleMania)

4. The Undertaker vs. Edge (Hell In A Cell) - SummerSlam 2008

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rVWWQfs_CTA A pure ass kicking. That's the best way to describe this matchup. Undertaker's rivalry with Edge was the biggest storyline on the Smackdown brand in 2008. They headlined WrestleMania 24 that year (another great match), had several other good matches including a TLC and it all ended with this Hell in a Cell showdown in the main event of SummerSlam. What's historic about this match is that it was the first Hell in a Cell match that took place in WWE's PG environment. They went PG in 2008, so that meant no more blood in matches like this one. There were still chair shots, there were still other weapons, but there wasn't any sign of blood on the face. Edge's back did bleed and Undertaker's arm was bleeding too. That's just part of the business, though. They really told a great story in the match also as they did a unique spot where they broke through the side of the cage after a Spear by Edge. That led to an innovative table spot outside the ring as Edge ran across the announce tables and hit a Spear on Undertaker. Like he always does, Undertaker came back and destroyed Edge by using all the weapons that Edge used to build up to this match. It was the ultimate form of payback. He got total revenge as he won with the Tombstone after 27 minutes. After the victory, Undertaker stood up on a ladder as Edge was on the other side and gave him a Chokeslam through the ring. The ring ended up engulfed in flames as this epic feud ended in a very memorable way.
