Rey Mysterio and WWE look set to continue their working relationship for the time being.

This is according to a new report from PWInsider, who note that while there's no word on whether or not the lucha legend has re-signed with the promotion yet, that he was present at yesterday's RAW tapings in Orlando, Florida indicates he is part of WWE's plans going forward.

Mysterio has been working without a WWE contract for the past few months, having previously had his request for a payrise turned down by Vince McMahon. Last week saw him travel to WWE HQ in Stamford, Connecticut for another round of talks, though it's currently unclear how those went.

Sunday's The Horror Show at Extreme Rules pay-per-view saw Mysterio lose a gimmicked eyeball to Seth Rollins in their Eye for an Eye match. WWE dialled back on the damage immediately, stating that his "potential globe luxation" may not necessarily mean permanent damage. Dave Meltzer reported that this was done to give WWE an out should Rey re-sign.

Rey didn't appear on last night's RAW though WWE also taped the 27 July episode yesterday, meaning he could feature next week.
