WCW's Dungeon Of Doom: Where Are They Now?

5. Maxx, The Ultimate Solution And Z-Gansta

One of The Dungeon’s most short lived and least remembered units, Maxx joined the group following an alliance with DDP. After briefly appearing with the Dungeon, he left WCW shortly after, and retired from wrestling in 2002.

While Maxx underwent various name changes throughout his career (usually just adding or removing more X’s), the prize for most unfortunate name in the Dungeon goes to The Ultimate Solution. Originally called ‘The Final Solution’, Robert Swenson joined the Alliance to End Hulkamania, becoming a de facto member of The Dungeon in the process. After learning that ‘The Final Solution’ was another name for The Holocaust, WCW changed Swenson’s ring name.

Both The Ultimate Solution and Z-Gangsta – the renamed and repackaged Zeus (real name Tom Lister), who had appeared in WWF and the WWF-financed movie No Holds Barred alongside Hulk Hogan – were only brought in for one night, as Dungeon-sanctioned enforcers.

A devout, born-again Christian, Z-Gangsta was convicted of mortgage fraud in 2012. ‘Solution’ Swenson died of heart failure in 1997, following a career in film. His most notable role was that of Bane, in the 1997 Joel Schumacher movie Batman and Robin.
