WWE fans will know Big Bubba Rogers better as the Big Bossman, but he sandwiched a five-year WCW run between his two spells with WWE. He was moderately successful as Big Bubba, and scored one of the biggest wins of his career by pinning Sting at Uncensored 1995, but as with his WWE run, poor storylines soon murdered his credibility.

Rogers joined the horrendous Dungeon of Doom in 1996, then transitioned to a brief NWO run after feuding with Glacier and John Tenta. His WCW contract expired in 1998, and he rejoined WWE as the Big Bossman that October. Trading his old blue police shirt for black SWAT gear, Bossman served as Vince McMahon’s bodyguard during his feuds with Stone Cold Steve Austin and D-Generation X, but faded into obscurity in his later years, and was released in 2003.

Sadly, Rogers passed away in September 2004, having suffered a heart attack at his home in Dallas, Georgia. He was 41 years old, and wrestled Jim Duggan in his last ever match just three weeks prior. An underrated big man with a surprising range of versatility, Bossman was always a solid performer when called upon, and he was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2016.
