What If... Roman Reigns NEVER Turned Heel In WWE
Roman Reigns has been holding the Universal Championship for exactly 2,300,449 days.
Or at least, it feels like he has.
And while long, dominant runs with the top strap aren't always a terrible thing in wrasslin' sphere, Roman's era of singles dominance peaked at WrestleMania 39 and has been doing more harm than good ever since.
It's highly unlikely even WWE would have had the audacity to stick one of their top straps on a massively divisive babyface for over three years.
So, with no needle-moving villain holding that Universal and eventually WWE Championship hostage, perhaps the likes of the also super popular Kevin Owens, Daniel Bryan, Drew McIntyre, Cody Rhodes, or more recently LA Knight (YEAH!) would have enjoyed another or even their first-ever WWE world title reign.
While stars like Zayn, McIntyre, and Rhodes were all able to take those heartbreaking 'L's and turn them into something positive, you could argue that Knight and Owens in particular struggled to regain their momentum in the wake of falling to 'The Tribal Chief'.
But once WWE sniffed the chance to break even more records than the attendance and gross ones smashed - with Roman and his Bloodline proving that long-term stories=money - a dumb obsession with moving Reigns up the Longest WWE Champions of All Time list began to develop, too.
The fact this entitled heel champ has barely defended the strap over the last few years has entirely undermined those attempts at making more WWE history, of course.
However, even with so many days spent chilling with his feet up at home, it's still hard to argue against Roman being a major part in ensuring WWE became the hottest promotion in town again...
