What If WWE WrestleMania Was Always 2 Nights?
24. WrestleMania 12
Part of the reason Shawn Michaels and Bret Hart have a 60-minute Iron Man match at WrestleMania XII is to help fill in some time when the company didn't have a ton of big stars and probably couldn't fill a traditional WrestleMania the normal way. How would they have stretched this show into two nights?!
As much of an impossibility as that seems, given matches like The Huckster vs. Nacho Man being absolutely worthless and the Hollywood Backlot Brawl with Roddy Piper and Goldust causing too much of an editing headache to make into a main event, at least there's The Undertaker against Diesel to fall back on.
It's the biggest match on the card outside of the main event, featuring the two tallest guys who had been World champions at a point where The Undertaker hadn't fully established the concept of The Streak, but it had become customary that he would be a semi-main event just on name value alone, and ending the first night with The Phenom vanquishing his foe would have been a nice end cap.
