What If WWE WrestleMania Was Always 2 Nights?

31. WrestleMania 5

No one will make an argument that WrestleMania V's first main event should have been The Red Rooster against Bobby Heenan, which led into the main event, somehow.

Despite having a lot of talented wrestlers on the card, this is another less-than-impressive overall lineup. Most matches just seem to be thrown together for the sake of it, as WWE put nearly all its eggs in the basket of The Mega Powers storyline.

Thankfully, there's an Intercontinental Championship match to fall back on, with Ravishing Rick Rude beating The Ultimate Warrior for the title. Assuming the rest of the timeline works out the same, and this was still Warrior's first pinfall loss, that's a huge deal to end on.

That wouldn't have sent fans home happy the first night, but sometimes, the bad guys just win. The next night would make up for that with Hulkamania coming out on top of Macho Madness, though, so much like WrestleMania XL, heels winning to cap off the first night is made much more palatable when it all works out in the end.
