What REALLY Happened To WWE's 16 Tallest Wrestlers Ever?
5. The Great Khali (7'1)
Known For: Adoring farty pants Natalya despite her foul flatulence. OK, sorry. Couldn't resist. Towering beast The Great Khali is actually best known for being an unwanted World Heavyweight Champion and taking on the mantle as WWE's go to heel giant for a few years. Then, they turned him into a babyface playboy who just wanted to dance, promote a 'Kiss Cam' (he beat you to it, Coldplay!) and have a good time.
What Happened To Him: Khali has made a few WWE appearances since his contract expired in late-2014. Almost hilariously, he seemed keen to steal the spotlight from then-WWE Champ Jinder Mahal at Battleground 2017. After helping Jinder beat Randy Orton in a 'Punjabi Prison' bout, Khali posed with the title like it was his. Understandably, Mahal looked rather miffed.
Despite having knees that sound like popcorn cooking in your microwave when he walks, the lovable giant also appeared in 2018's so-called Greatest Royal Rumble over in Saudi Arabia, and he was eventually inducted into WWE's Hall Of Fame as part of the 2021 class. Then, he appeared at the aforementioned Superstar Spectacle in 2023 to lend some local flavour.
Away from WWE's bright lights, Khali has also worked a few matches for his own Continental Wrestling Entertainment promotion in India. He's been a regular on Indian TV and film in the interim too, and has even dabbled in politics here or there. It's said he proposed that the "Khali Kiss Cam" become a staple of all entertainment events. True story*.
*is most definitely not a true story.
