CM Punk has told Renée Paquette's new 'Oral Sessions' podcast that Chavo Guerrero was once happy he got injured.

The then-WWE star suffered an injury years ago when Paul London flubbed a strike and "broke his face" (Punk's words). Instead of being p*ssed at London or worrying about his immediate future though, Chavo was actually smiling.

He told Punk that the injury wasn't severe enough for surgery, but was bad enough that he had to take some time off the road. At home, Guerrero could still work out, run on the beach, swim and enjoy some quality of life - he just wouldn't be cleared to wrestle.

Punk will never forget how delighted Chavo looked about the prospect of some much-needed time off. That really says it all about the rigours of the road and WWE's hefty schedule at the time. Someone got hurt, but they were grateful for the chance to chill out away from the spotlight without going under the knife.

Pro wrestling is weird.
