Who Was WWE SmackDown Bartender?
He wasn't a random unemployed barkeep?!
According to The Local Competitor Twitter account, Friday SmackDown on FOX's mystery bartender during the Toast to Jeff Hardy segment was an independent wrestler called Vinny Mac.
No, seriously.
Mac (real name Vinny McParland) wrestles mostly for World Xtreme Wrestling, the promotion ran by WWE Hall of Famer Afa of the Wild Samoans.
However, this isn't the first time Vinny Mac has graced a WWE ring...and we're not talking about the 70 year-old billionaire. He also appeared in an NXT match back in 2018 as Vinny Mixon, teaming up with Torry Kirsh and Cesar Rise to take on the Forgotten Sons in a six-man tag match.
Mac also isn't the first World Xtreme Wrestling talent to work in Vince McMahon's company, with the likes of Batista, Billy Kidman, Gene Snitsky, Umaga and Rosey all appearing in the promotion before heading to WWE.
This week's Toast to Jeff Hardy main event segment didn't manage to help SmackDown escape their worst overnight ratings since moving to FOX in October 2019. But, at least it gave Mac a chance to appear on WWE television again, even if he did end up getting a bottle of champagne smashed over his head.
