Double Or Nothing 2022 saw AEW crown its first ever Owen Hart Cup winners.

In an outcome telegraphed the moment it was announced that AEW's inaugural Owen Hart Foundation Tournament winners would be presented with their awards alongside one another, real-life couple Adam Cole and Britt Baker were triumphant at Double Or Nothing 2022.

Cole defeated Samoa Joe in the first of the two finals, wearing the veteran's injured shoulder down but ultimately profiting from a Bobby Fish interference. His Boom to the back of Joe's head was enough to seal the deal.

Following this, Britt reversed a Ruby Soho Victory Roll to get a clean 1-2-3 on the babyface. Both were hugely over in the building after what appeared to be a Rampage anomaly, where she was jeered after felling Kris Statlander in their semi-final.

Owen's widow, Dr. Martha Hart, who established the Foundation following her husband's death, was brought out by Tony Khan to address the crowd - and the tournament winners. Finally able to celebrate Owen's wrestling legacy 23 years on, her speech was stirring and impactful, no matter your subjective thoughts on who won and lost the tournament finals.

Pink belts were presented to Cole and Baker following Dr. Martha's speech, rounding off a great conclusion to a tournament that perhaps didn't hit the expected heights between the ropes.
