Why Bianca Belair Has Been Off WWE TV
Just where is the former NXT favourite?
Bianca Belair has been conspicuous by her absence on Raw as of late, but Wrestling Observer chief Dave Meltzer knows why.
According to him, the former NXT star has been kept out of The Street Profits comedic shenanigans with The Viking Raiders because of how "wacky" they've been. WWE reportedly believe that Belair is best-served by taking nothing to do with skits involving bowling, athletics, archery and (most recently) giant monsters that live in the trash outside WWE's Performance Center.
What a sentence to write.
"Now it’s a new cycle and we’ll see", Meltzer wrote. He thinks Bianca has a great chance of making a splash on Raw sooner rather than later - WWE taking the decision to remove Belair from such an over-the-top storyline shows that they're super-serious about her character. Otherwise, they would've had her partake in some silliness alongside Montez Ford and Angelo Dawkins.
Belair recently received a ton of praise from WWE Hall Of Famer Beth Phoenix for her work. The NXT announcer views the ex-NXT stand out as the future of women's wrestling.
Keeping her away from comedy sideshows may have been wise.
