Why This One WWE Moment "Insulted" AEW's Chris Jericho

AEW's Chris Jericho joked he's "never recovered" from one WWE match.

Chris Jericho has never watched his match with Lance Storm at ECW One Night Stand 2005.

The AEW star replied to a fan comment on Twitter that gushed over the battle between former Thrillseekers. Jericho quoted the tweet then said that he felt "insulted at the time" by the fact that WWE handed he and Storm such a short time to work with.

That's when Storm himself popped up to remind his old pal that match lasted a grand total of seven minutes. It seems that both men were pretty bitter about their pay-per-view opener 16 years ago, and they're still irked by it now.

Jericho returned to his old 'Lionheart' gimmick for the night, but he was clearly hoping for more match time to put on a cracker with Storm. WWE didn't play ball though; Jericho vs. Storm wasn't even the shortest bout of the night. A three-way between Super Crazy, Tajiri and Little Guido, Rey Mysterio vs. Psicosis and Sabu vs. Rhyno all went approx six minutes, which is amazing to think about now.

Maybe Jericho has a point here - he went on to joke that he's "never recovered" from that moment.
