Will Beth Phoenix Wrestle For AEW? (AEW News)

AEW sources weigh up chances of Beth Phoenix working matches with or without Adam Copeland.

Fightful Select is reporting that Beth Phoenix wrestling matches for AEW has "been a thing that has been tossed around within [the company] for quite some time". Phoenix made her All Elite debut during the All Out pay-per-view on 20 September, and it seems likely she'll hit the ring for a few bouts in due course.

At All Out, Beth attacked Stokely Hathaway and effectively helped her husband Adam Copeland and Christian Cage defeat FTR. Post-match, the heels took everyone out (including Phoenix), so you just know there's some babyface revenge coming for that one. The question is: How will Tony Khan play this one, and how will he use the 'Glamazon'?

Fightful also definitively stated that "Adam Copeland is not done with All Elite Wrestling" despite his promos and ongoing story. The ex-WWE legend still has time remaining on his AEW contract, so there's a solid chance some mixed tag-team bouts are incoming. That last point wasn't included in Fightful Select's write up, but it would make perfect sense going forwards.

Of course, there's always the chance Beth works a few marquee matches in the women's division as a solo artist too. There'd be enough interest from fans in seeing her tangle with some of the top names in the AEW Women's and TBS Title rankings. Failing that, a few tag bouts alongside Copeland and Cage would get plenty of attention.

It's interesting that Khan and his creative nucleus have been chewing over Phoenix's involvement for a while now. They pulled the trigger on it at All Out, and it looks certain we'll see Beth inside the ring on Dynamite and/or AEW PPV before the end of the year.
