WrestleMania 31 Spoilers: 10 Things That Won't Happen Tonight

7. The Rock Appears

Rock Roman Every years since 2011, The Rock has appeared at WrestleMania. His name value and celebrity status helped bring mainstream attention to the event while simultaneously presenting the WWE Universe with epic stories, including his three-year feud with John Cena. At WrestleMania XXX, he shared the ring with Steve Austin and Hulk Hogan in an iconic moment that brought together the three biggest stars in event history, 30 years after the first Showcase of the Immortals. After an in-ring confrontation with United States champion Rusev and his social ambassador Lana, rumors persisted that the Great One would battle the Bulgarian Brute inside Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara for WrestleMania. Over time, those rumors proved unfounded. Then, when he popped up again at the Royal Rumble, aiding Roman Reigns in fighting off The Big Show and Kane, then watching as Reigns dumped Rusev over the top rope to win the Rumble bout, fans again suspected that the Most Electrifying Man in Sports Entertainment may still have some sort of role in this year's spectacular. With a hosting gig on NBC's "Saturday Night Live" this weekend, and promotion for both "Furious Seven" and "San Andreas" dominating his time and attention, you will not see Rock make the long walk to the squared circle come Sunday night.
