5. Chris Jericho Defeats AJ Styles
When Jericho and Styles were booked to face off for a fourth time at 'Mania, it became entirely possible that we were gearing up for an extended series and a second rubber match. And yet, as well as these two guys have worked together, you would think it was about time AJ moved on to bigger things.
It seemed as though WWE had booked this match simply due to not having the time to build another worthwhile angle for their hot new star. So it would have made sense to give him watershed moment by winning the bonus blow-off match in his first WrestleMania.
Only this didn't feel like a blow-off match. Fair enough. Series tied. You'd think there was a rubber match on the way, but who knows now that AJ is openly going after the gold.
This one could have gone either way, but the odds were initially a few points in Styles' favour.
