Wrestling News: AEW COVID Outbreak, Cody Returns & More (VIDEO)

Adam Wilbourn and Andy H. Murray bring you today's daily news briefing.

Join WhatCulture's Andy H. Murray and Adam Wilbourn as they bring you Thursday's rundown of all the latest wrestling news.

Today's video begins with acoerage of Jon Alba and Sean Ross Sapp's breaking story that several AEW wrestlers have tested positive for the illness currently sweeping the planet (0:32). This resulted in a number of performers missing last night's television tapings in Jacksonville, Florida, and shows that despite the increased measures AEW has taken to combat the global health crisis, there is no way to reduce risk levels to 0%.

From there, we pivot towards lighter territory. Last night's Dynamite saw Cody return to AEW for the first time since Brodie Lee beat him for the TNT Championship (05:32), and he came back sporting a new look.

WWE has confirmed the first three matches for 4 October's NXT TakeOver 31 card, all of which have gold on the line (07:03), and we also take a close look at the weird "unknown insurgent" vignette from last night's show (09:20).
