5. Canadian Stampede 10 Man Tag (1997)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vdCJFHh9NeQ This is a personal favorite match of mine because as a Canadian, the angle in 1997 involving Bret Hart leading his family against others in WWE was a lot of fun. It's not like I'm anti-American. It's just that it was great to see these guys carrying the Canadian flag with such pride. The match was Bret Hart, Owen Hart, Davey Boy Smith, Jim Neidhart and Brian Pillman taking on the team of Steve Austin, Goldust, Ken Shamrock and the Legion of Doom. The key storyline involved Bret and Austin, who had the best rivalry at that time. Austin was a face in most other places, but not in Calgary on that night. They did an excellent job of involving all ten guys in the match, but it was really about Austin more than anybody else. Even though he's known the most for being a very successful babyface, his heel work in this match was incredible. Fans absolutely hated him. For the finish, Austin went after several other Hart family members at ringside. He even grabbed Bret & Owen's elderly dad Stu by his jacket. After the melee outside the ring, Bret rolled Austin into the ring and Owen rolled him up for the win in a match that went 25 minutes. Post match was filled with action also with Austin going after the entire Hart Family, getting arrested and flashing his middle fingers as he was taken away in handcuffs. It was an outstanding tag match in front of a hot crowd that appreciated high quality wrestling as much as any group of fans in the world.
