WWE: 10 Candidates For Coaches On Revamped 'Tough Enough'

7. Sara Del Rey

On the independent scene, Sara Del Rey was regarded as one of the greatest women's wrestlers in the world. From Ring of Honor to Chikara to Shimmer, Del Rey dominated every promotion she stepped in to and won a handful of championships. With that said, many fans rejoiced when news broke that WWE offered a contract in July 2012. Fans saw her as the savior of the Divas division, but what they didn't know was that WWE was planning on bringing her in as a trainer to the developmental talent, not as an active competitor. Upon her arrival in WWE, Del Rey became NXT's first female trainer and her presence in the last two years has certainly been felt. From Paige to Emma to Bayley to Charlotte, Del Rey has helped groom the future talent of the Divas division. That's evident based off the fact two of the aforementioned women are already on the main roster and Paige being the current reigning Divas champion. One can only assume that Del Rey played a part in the two stellar women's matches at NXT Arrival and Takeover and she can be seen in several videos of the rookie Divas celebrating backstage at the latter event. While we never see Del Rey compete in a WWE ring, we could certainly see her act as a coach to up-and-coming talent in one. Del Rey could add a lot as a trainer on Tough Enough and could relay her world renowned experience to both the men and ladies. More importantly, Del Rey would finally receive the credit she deserves for helping make the Divas division what it is today.
