2. Steve Austin Vs CM Punk
Oh hell yeah, this match right here has been dreamed about for years now. Both Austin and Punk have encouraged speculation linking themselves with this match. The Texas Rattlesnake is a huge fan of Punk, stating on several occasions that if he was to return then it would be against The Straight Edge Superstar. The only thing stopping this match from taking place appears to be the physical condition of Stonecold's neck. Perhaps WWE management are also culpable for the bout never actually coming to fruition - Austin is a canny businessman, maybe WWE have failed to offer him the right deal - Austin would look for a paypack bigger than Rock got for John Cena given that "Stonecold" is the best draw of all time and 11 years inactive. It's worth pointing out that WWE tried to setup Austin Vs Triple H for Wrestlemania 30, a CM Punk match just doesn't do it for Vince McMahon perhaps. Austin vs Punk would certainly be great for wrestling fans though. Two anti hero characters who are sensational on the mic, the promos and segments would be televised dynamite. You could have Punk playing the righteous heel versus Austin the beer drinking redneck. When the match itself rolled around I have no doubt that as two of the best WWE workers ever, Austin and Punk would deliver in spades. Can it happen in 2014? Well, with CM Punk again teasing a 2015 retirement, if Austin vs Punk is going to happen it better be sooner rather than later.
