WWE: 10 Great Wrestlers Who Never Appeared At Wrestlemania

6. Steve 'Dr Death' Williams

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZZEZqCw6m0o Brawl For All was supposed to be WWE's way of introducing Steve 'Dr Death' Williams to the WWE audience showing the world just how tough the guy really was. The Brawl For All tournament winner would go on to Wrestlemania and fight Eric 'Butterbean' Esch and everybody thought it would be a given that Williams would be the guy to challenge the mighty Butterbean. What actually happened is Williams was beaten by former Smoking Gunn Mike 'Bart Gunn' Barton early on in the rounds stage and was never able to recover from his (and Vince McMahon's) embarrassment. Despite winning 22 championships in 8 big territories and coming off a 10 year unbeaten streak Williams made zero impact in his short run with WWE and was instead paired with Jim Ross in an attempt to keep him on the radar. In many ways he was like Dan Severn when he joined WWE but at least Severn had Ken Shamrock to bounce off for his brief stint. In a different era the late, great Williams would have been a regular head liner for WWE at 'Mania but instead he's remembered as the guy who lost to Bart Gunn and then disappeared.
