WWE: 10 Greatest Ring Technicians Of All Time

3. Kurt Angle

kurt angle When Kurt Angle first debuted on WWE TV he was introduced in a way that would have seen him as a top baby face in the 80s. He had a clean cut, all American image and he stood for hard work and good morals. His debut match was against Shawn Stasiak, son of former WWWF World Heavyweight Champion Stan Stasiak. Stasiak had always been a no one on the roster and he proved the perfect opponent for the WWE€™s desired first reaction of Kurt Angle...boring. Portrayed as a solid wrestler, but his clean cut image and traditional wrestling style was one the fans wouldn€™t get behind. Normally this would be the end of any wrestler€™s career, but this was exactly what the WWE wanted, as it allowed Kurt to rise very quickly as one of the company€™s top heels. Early feuds with Chris Jericho and Chris Benoit showed that he could go move for move with the best in the company and it wasn€™t long before he reached the main event. His crisp style made the art of wrestling look effortless, with few who could match his technical prowess. It€™s not only his mat wrestling skills where Kurt has shown his talents, as over the years the Olympic Gold Medallist has shown he can fly with the best. Sorry Christopher Daniels, but Kurt€™s moonsault has always been text book perfection. In fairness Kurt has almost never hit his target with his moonsault, but that doesn€™t change how pretty it looks. Kurt shocked the wrestling world when he quit the WWE a few years back. With rumours being that he planned to step foot into the Octogan, he shocked the wrestling world to its very core with the announcement that he had signed with TNA. Since joining America€™s number two company he has consistently been its top star, had thrilling feuds with Samoa Joe, AJ Styles and Sting, and still managed to prove why he is the best in the sport today. Since joining TNA Kurt has been known for his sometimes eyebrow raising claims, but you have to give the man credit when he said he could pull out a four-fifty splash, and later hit one in a match with Sting. This is the man who won an Olympic Gold Medal with a €˜broken freaking neck€™ and despite backing out of last summer€™s Olympic trials has continued to be every bit as good in the pro ring as he ever was.
