WWE: 10 Greatest Superstars Of The 2000s So Far

2. Edge

edge Here's someone who has truly done it all. From being a part of a legendary tag team to breaking out and becoming one of the greatest WWE and World Heavyweight Champions of all time, Edge is the embodiment of a truly great professional wrestler. Even though he had time away from the ring due to neck surgery in 2003 (which eventually ended his career in 2011), his return and subsequent heel turn was one of the best moves that WWE have ever made. He became the 'Rated R Superstar' and the rest, as they say, is history. His truly shocking WWE Championship win at New Year's Revolution in 2006 sparked the biggest ratings boom in years, but his first reign was not all that it should have been. It was only when Edge was transferred to Smackdown that he really cemented his legacy, becoming a true legendary figure. His retirement in 2011 was, whilst necessary, extremely disappointing for WWE fans.
