6. The Entire Internet Wrestling Community (IWC) Doesn't Hate Cena
"Let's Go Cena!! Cena sucks!!!!" These chants have gotten louder and more vociferous over the past half-decade, but the apparent dislike of John Cena by the extremely influential IWC is a bit misleading. Even the smarkiest of wrestling fans simply want to see something different out of Cena, and their boos for The Champ are mostly boos for the WWE brass who have kept him playing the same increasingly boring character for more than a decade. Wrestling Observer Newsletters Dave Meltzer, the IWCs darling dirt sheet correspondent, gave Cenas 2011 Money in the Bank instant classic with CM Punk the much coveted 5-star match designation, the first such designation for a WWE match in more than 14 years. Also of note, Meltzer has given 15 different Cena matches 4 stars or higher including three near perfect 4 ½ star matches. Of Cenas in-ring prowess and big match capabilities, lead WWE Bleacher Report columnist Ryan Dilbert wisely noted, Cena has thrown up some duds for sure, but when there is a compelling buildup and a worthy opponent involved, when the lights are brightest, he has often come through with a classic.
