WWE: 10 Major Predictions After WrestleMania 30

4. CM Punk Won't Return Before His Contract Expires In July

Cm Punk1 Remember that CM Punk guy? The fans do. They were chanting his name in Chicago a few weeks ago and they did it again this week on Raw in Brooklyn. He may have walked out on the company two months ago, but he's still popular among wrestling fans. As the weeks go by, the chance of Punk returning to WWE continue to be slim. It's also a case of Punk leaving millions of dollars on the table. Even if he may be considered rich already, it's not smart to walk away from a job that pays so well. As we've written about for months now, he was clearly upset with storyline direction and didn't want to deal with it. Not many would quit. He did. Respect to him for standing up for himself, but it does set a bad example to others too. What we do know about Punk is that his contract is set to expire in July. When he re-signed famously in 2011, it was a three year deal. Once that happens, WWE will have no more ties to him. Will he ever come back? Nobody knows except him. The longer he stays away, though, the less likely it will be that WWE will want him back. At this point, it would be a major surprise to see CM Punk back in a WWE ring before July or even after that. It seems like he's gone with no imminent change in sight.
