9. Wrestlemania 2000: Kurt Angle vs. Chris Benoit vs. Chris Jericho

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uuW5BYCOZ8Y On paper a triple threat between Kurt Angle, Chris Benoit, and Chris Jericho probably seemed like a sure fire match of the year candidate. With the Intercontinental Championship and the European Championship both on the line this match should have been special. At Wrestlemania 2000 the three men did square off but things never seemed to click. Part of the problem was the match had a two-falls system with the winner of the first fall getting the more prestigious title. This left no chance for the winner to celebrate, the audience to digest what just happened and it left the second fall anticlimactic. The three gave good effort but the match seemed rushed and weighted down by the stipulations and rules. The match was noteworthy because it gave Benoit his first WWE gold with the I-C Title, and interestingly enough, while Jericho won the second fall he would lose the European Championship the next night.
