I think it makes a lot of sense to merge the Intercontinental & US Titles mainly because they have done a horrible job of booking both titles. Ambrose barely defends the US Title. They even have JBL bury it on commentary. That's how bad it's getting. Big E Langston is a guy that I think has a lot of potential, but he's yet to have a feud for the IC Title. They even had him lose in a tag match last week, which was very surprising to me. There's no indication of a feud for him right now either. My thinking is if you're not going to book two titles right then you might as well get rid of one of them and hopefully raise the value of the other one in the process. The IC Title was once a very important piece of gold again. It can be that way again. Will those titles merge with the main one? No. That should never happen. It's important to have some secondary titles. Just keep the Intercontinental Title.
