WWE: 10 Reasons Why We Love Mickie James

6. Successful As A Face And A Heel

SNME 18/03/06 Mickie James & Stratus vs Candice...by Theragman72 What is one thing that is common among the greatest wrestlers whether they are male or female? It's the ability to be successful as a face and as a heel. If you're only really good in one area then you may be seen as a limited performer. If you can be successful in more ways than one, it shows how much talent you have and an ability to adapt in any situation. When Mickie showed up in WWE in late 2005, she was initially a babyface superfan of Trish Stratus. Then she turned heel by going psycho on Trish in early 2006. By the summer of 2006, she was in a babyface role simply because she was too good of a performer for the fans not to love her. She stayed in that babyface role until her WWE departure in 2010. Mickie's TNA run started in late 2010 and she was also a babyface there. When she turned heel in 2013 she was one of the most entertaining performers in wrestling. The only negative thing about it is that it didn't last that long because her TNA deal expired and that was the end of her run there. If you watched those promos and saw her matches, you know how great it was. It's not easy to be the most loved diva and the most hated. How many women in wrestling can say they really reached that level? I think Trish Stratus and Lita can. Mickie too. That's really about it. You can make a case for AJ Lee, but she hasn't really had a babyface run as a wrestler yet either. It's quite an accomplishment to reach that point and to stay there for as long as Mickie has.
