WWE: 10 Reasons The Miz Is Already Hall Of Fame Worthy
9. Singles & Tag Team Success
An unprecedented aspect of The Miz's success is that fact that he's excelled both as a singles and tag team competitor. With John Morrison, he formed the greatest team of the post-Edge and Christian/Hardyz/Dudleyz era the two dominated WWE programming, captured the World and WWE Tag Team Titles prior to unification, and grabbed the spotlight with their hilarious Dirt Sheet talk show segment. After the split, Miz would form a short-lived tandem with The Big Show. Miz brought his tag team know-how to the group, as the two men became Unified Tag Team Champions soon after joining forces. He also laid siege to the entire WWE with R-Truth as The Awesome Truth, and, if you recall, held the Unified Tag Titles with WrestleMania XXVII opponent John Cena for a matter of minutes prior to the event. His singles success was equally amazing prior to his WWE Championship win. Miz defeated Kofi Kingston for the United States Championship in October of 2009 and would hold it, with a brief interruption, until the following September. The visual of Miz as U.S. Champion and Unified Tag Team Champion, three titles wrapped around his body, tells the story more completely than any words can.
