WWE: 10 Reasons The Miz Is Already Hall Of Fame Worthy
8. Crossover Appeal
The Miz's tenure on The Real World (and later, Real World/Road Rules Challenge) introduced him to fans who wouldn't necessarily have known about him if his first television exposure came on Smackdown. As a result, he has the mainstream renown WWE so desires for its superstars. Whether or not The Miz brought new fans to WWE can't be measured, but it's a fact that since becoming a major player, the company has capitalized on his transcendence of wrestling. In 2013, Miz starred in the straight-to-DVD release The Marine 3: Homefront. While it wasn't the wide-release theatrical spectacle that John Cena's The Marine was, it was a profitable endeavor a rarity for a film produced by WWE and starring a superstar. Last month, it was announced that The Miz will become the first Marine series star to reprise his role when he films The Marine 4. He also starred in the Disney Channel original movie Christmas Bounty this past holiday season. It's not Fast & Furious 6 or G.I. Joe: Retaliation, but it's an achievement that has helped grow WWE and The Miz's own name.
