8. Becoming The Modern Day Batista Breakout Star
When I watch Roman Reigns, I am reminded of Batista. The two men share various qualities. Both are big guys with a big presence, they do their talking in their powerful big man wrestling style. Neither man made their name in promos - both got over via a killer look and punishing presence. The similarities extend further. When Batista rocketed in 2004 as a breakout star, it was when he was the enforcer of the heel trio known as Evolution. Reigns is in a similar role at the minute, the enforcer of the heel trio the Shield. Much like Batista, if Reigns was to rebel against the heel antics of his group, he could emerge as a huge babyface breakout star. The wrestling audience is waiting for the next powerhouse big man to come along and blaze a trail of destruction and power. Reigns has the look, he has the style, he has the fans wanting to cheer him. This could well be the next Batista.
