WWE: 10 Superstars Who Should Have Been World Champion

1. Rowdy Roddy Piper

Rowdy Roddy Piper is the embodiment of everything this feature discusses. He is an icon. A legend. A man who never held a major World Championship his entire career and yet made more of an impact than many former (and current) champions all over the world could ever hope for. Piper is easily one of the greatest heels of ALL time and is incredibly over as a babyface too. He's someone that can run John Cena into the ground one week but receive a standing ovation the next. He's the CM Punk of his day - dropping pipe bombs at every opportunity. Piper obviously failed to win the big one in WWF because he wasn't a body-builder Why would someone the size of Roddy beat Hulk Hogan when Andre the Giant couldn't, right? And then as a babyface Piper still had to compete with top dog Hogan, so an Intercontinental Championship run was the most he ever achieved - and many feel even that was unnecessary. Piper was over without a belt. He just didn't need one. But that doesn't mean he shouldn't have been the World Heavyweight Champion at least once. In today's WWE Piper would occupy the spot that CM Punk currently holds and there would be no better talker, no better antagonist and no one more deserving on the whole roster. Imagine the feuds he could have. Anyone you'd have liked to have seen? Why not throw us a quick comment?
