WWE: 10 Things You Need To Know About New Divas Champion Paige
8. Her WWE Tryout Was The Subject Of A National UK Documentary
For my oversees friends in the States and everywhere else around the world, Channel 4 is a major UK terrestrial network, our equivalent of your CBS. Above, I've attached a link to the summary of a documentary that aired in the UK in 2012 on Channel 4. In the photo, you can see Paige on the far right with her mother, under her independent name Britani Knight. The documentary is one you might perhaps see more of, in future years, should Paige ever become popular enough to warrant her own DVD release or something of the like. The footage, being shot primarily in 2011, documents the operations of the Knight Dynasty in the UK and the changes it was facing as a family, as the very real potential of Paige's future with the WWE became a sharper and sharper image. It's a sacrifice Paige alluded to in her post-match interview I linked earlier. It's also something she has gone out on record and said she sorely misses. Such sacrifices are hardly new to the stars, past and present, of pro-wrestling but for a family whose existence hinges upon the continued toil of independent wrestling, one might like to think it becomes a little easier to swallow. On a personal note, I would like to congratulate the entire Knight Dynasty for the success of their daughter and hope it makes their sacrifice seem worthwhile.
Betting on being a brilliant brother to Bodhi since 2008 (-1 Asian Handicap). Find me @LiamJJohnson on Twitter where you might find some wonderful pearls of wisdom in a stout cocktail of profanity, football discussion and general musings. Or you might not. Depends how red my eyes are.
